Fire

I Thessalonians 5:18&19  “ Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus, Do not put out the Spirit’s fire.”

So many times in church we talk about the fire of God. The fire that should be burning inside of our hearts so that others will see God in us, the fire that will heal people and set them free – through our hands. There is another fire that is talked about a lot less – God’s holy fire. The fire that purifies, sanctifies and burns out our own selfish desires. These are not 2 separate fires. They are one and the same! When we ask for the fire of the Lord to come into our lives, we are first going to experience some dying to ourselves. Letting His Holy Fire burn out what is not of Him in order to make room for more of Him. When we let Him burn our old man out of us we give His fire room in our hearts to start glowing. Sometimes it starts out small but the more you surrender to His will the more the flame will grow and it will turn into that fire where everyone around you will be able to see something different in you. The Holy Fire of the Living God! As we are coming to this conference, God may ask for certain issues to be placed on the altar before Him to be burned up in our hearts and our lives, but He doesn’t leave you empty, He will fill those empty spaces with His Holy fire.
