Psalm 62: 5-7 My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
The 2011 Youth Conference is almost upon us, I ask you now, where is your heart at? Take a moment and ask yourself. What do you think most about? Who is your source of strength? Your source of love? These have been questions plaguing my own mind, and to answer truthfully my God was not always my heart’s response. When God isn’t central and intricately weaved through my heart and mind, my journey takes me on a collision course with pain and leads me nowhere. Is it the same for you? In God, confusion is replaced with peace, rejection is replaced by belonging, and anger replaced by love. Our own love, strength and endurance cannot carry us through this life. It is only in God; it is from Him that we can expect and receive. He is the One who we lean upon and lay our heavy burdens. So on this day, a week before the Conference starts, begin to cast your heavy hearts upon Him. Run into Him, for He alone can satisfy the desires of your hearts.
